You will win nothing with Evander Kane in your line-up.

Great predictions Sean. Hope you don’t have a puberty voice when you do the commentary. |

Here's a concept: maybe age, celebrity, getting your knees cut out from under you publicly (and in Court) actually fostered maturity in the man? It has been known to happen.
And the Oil did win something with Kane. They went to the WCF last year and lost to the Cup champ. Kane was a key part of 2 series wins. |

Sean Maloughney: 10 Bold Oilers Predictions 22/23 - freelancer
Nice work Sean, I like how you go to ridiculous detail in some of the boldness. If you hit on any, you will look like a prophet. Along those lines, I would like you to expand on the boldness by outlining how Holland is going to make the cap to add Klingberg, when he can't even ice a full roster to start the season. Nurse going LTIR at some point? |

McDavid goes insane one night and ties Sittler's record with a 10-point game. |

Only if playing top 6. He is not getting 25 playing 3C. |

Sure he could. If he gets PP1, he’d probably only need to pot 10/15 at evens. |

He was playing for a new contract, he got his new contract, now watch what happens.

Kane signed WELL UNDER his market value to play in the fkn boonies in Edmonton...I think his head is finally screwed on right and he is focused on hockey. We shall see... |

Nope. He knew he was going to be paid in full due to his settlement with San Jose. He left nothing on the table. He’s still the same pos. |

His SJ settlement may have indeed made an impact on his decision, but that is independent from his market value, and he still accepted an offer well below that market value (i.e. he sure did leave money on the table...probably a couple million per year)...and elected to stay in EDM, where most players typically do not want to live. I think this situation played very positively into the hands of the Oilers, and I feel lucky to have the player at that price point.

As long as Kane stays on task, it will be a great deal for the Oil. There was likely nothing left on the table though, as I suspect all parties pretty much knew that the balance was going to be absorbed by SJ anyway, regardless of what his contract ended up being. |

He didn’t leave anything on the table. He was getting his 7 million per regardless of where he signed. |

Because of eastern Bias, McD will have to win the Rocket amd get the most assist points to get the Hart. Because of Eastern bias, no chance Holloway gets the Calder.
Let’s hope to Hell the blogger is t asked to do play by play, his ego is already out of control just for being a mediocre blogger on a 3rd rate site. |

Jesse outplay Yamo?
Your unfettered love for Jesse is gonna get you hurt again, Sean. And then we’ll all be left having to pick up the emotional wreckage. - Wildschwein
Jesse outplayed Yamo last season even in a bad year. His point per game average and plus minus were higher despite Yamo spending the whole year with Drai. |

Most of the writers that get a vote are from the East. They hate the Oilers |
